Please join the SF Planning Department at the third workshop for the Market Street Hub Project (“The Hub”).
The neighborhood known as “The Hub” is included in the 2008 Market and Octavia Area Plan. With major projects planned or already underway, San Francisco Planning is considering making amendments to the Market and Octavia Area Plan that will help ensure that new growth in the Hub will support the City’s goals for housing, transportation, the public realm and the arts.
The first two workshops provided an overview of the Hub Project as it relates to land use, urban form, public realm and public benefits; and presented preliminary recommendations for these topic areas. This third public workshop will introduce updates to the City’s recommendations for all topic areas: land use, urban form, public realm and public benefits.

*The intersection of Market, Valencia, Haight and Gough Streets was once known as “The Hub” because of the area’s distinctive block pattern and intersection for the four cable car lines as they traveled across the City. The name eventually came to represent the surrounding neighborhood as well.
