The City and County of San Francisco recently released the Office of Economic and Workforce Development Annual Report 2015-2016. According to Todd Rufo, director of OEWD, “This report…highlights our programs, projects, and new initiatives; and offers a snapshot of who we are and what we do as an organization that touches every neighborhood in the City.” OEWD has made great strides across seven important areas and worked relentlessly to strengthen the city, improve the quality of life, and create a San Francisco for everyone.

The many areas of accomplishments include an abundance of successes through Invest In Neighborhoods to maintain the uniqueness, vibrancy and diversity of our neighborhood commercial districts. As Rufo explains, “…we provided $12 million in loans and grants to new and existing small businesses, filled 119 storefront vacancies in the corridors, and provided one-on-one assistance to 468 business owners, and strengthened local businesses and their workforce.” Read more on the achievements of OEWD which are improving lives in this great city.
