BART Police launch “patrol desks” at Powell and Civic Center for extra holiday assistance

BART Police “patrol desks” will be staffed intermittently throughout the day, to provide easily-accessible assistance for those in need. Common crimes that BART Police encounter at Powell and Civic Center stations include aggressive panhandlers or scammers trying to sell fake BART tickets. BART To Temporarily Close Elevators to Make Repairs and Improvements

Riders will soon enjoy improved safety, appearance, and cleanliness on 80 elevators throughout the BART system thanks to the “Elevator Flooring Replacement” project. The project is focused on replacing the existing flooring with a new material, two-part Polyurea epoxy, that will help prevent liquid from getting beneath the floor and causing damage. BART Closure Coming August 20-21

There will be no BART service from Daly City to Glen Park.  Trains will stop running at the close of service Friday, until 4am Monday.   BART is partnering with Samtrans and SFMTA to provide free buses to bridge passengers between those stations during the weekend closures.  Most travelers should plan for 30-40 minute delays because of this bus bridge.  SFO travelers and those headed to/from Millbrae should plan for at least 60 minute delays. BART will Extend Hours On Sunday to Accomodate Parade Crowds

BART will open early at 7:00 am on Sunday, June 26th to accommodate revelers attending San Francisco’s annual LGBTQ Pride parade. You are invited to the Grand Opening of BART's new Bike Station at Civic Center Station on Tuesday, August 18, at 10:00 am. BART is nearly tripling the number of bike parking spaces to 216 through additional corrals as well as a bike room.
