Panel: Voices from Our Community and from Within San Quentin

January 13, 6pm

This January 13th, head to the Main Branch of the San Francisco Public Library for a panel with global artist eL Seed as he shares his experience painting complementary murals on the exterior of the Orpheum Theatre and inside San Quentin Prison through San Quentin SkunkWorks’ Chiaroscuro Initiative.

The SFPL notes, “As part of this public program, we will invite community members, including individuals impacted by San Quentin and the broader justice system, to share personal stories in conversation with the artist, creating an intimate setting for reflection, dialogue and shared understanding. The intention is to create a space where art and testimony come together to honor the light found even within the shadows, and to elevate voices too often unheard. Space is limited. Please arrive early to ensure a spot.”

The Civic Center Community Benefit District is proud to be a supporter of this project along with Broadway SF, Building 180, Dunn-Edwards Paints, eL Seed Studio, Mid Market Community Benefit District, Mid Market Foundation, Office of Economic and Workforce Development, Paint the Void, San Francisco Public Library, and Urban Alchemy.
