Happening at the Main Branch of the San Francisco Public Library, Comic Art Fest features story times, workshops, photo-booth fun, button making, and hands-on activities that reflect the creativity and spirit of San Francisco’s arts communities.
This year’s Comic Arts Fest features local graphic author, Wahab Algarmi who will share his latest work, Almost Sunset. Wahab is a writer and comic artist and has been creating comics and a community space for other artists in the San Francisco Bay Area for years.
Fred Noland is a visual storyteller, whether in animation, comics, or illustration. Fred lives in Oakland, California, where he is an avid but unremarkable cyclist and a proud poppa.
Jessica Jane Robinson embodies her comic superhero character, Resilience. She encourages fans to become leaders who actively reduce climate change, pollution, and the depletion of natural resources.
Mychal Threets is a librarian, literary ambassador, and the library’s number one fan.
