Taking place at the steps of City Hall in Civic Center Plaza next to Civic Center’s Winter Park Ice Rink, the night of festive entertainment includes performances by The Topman All Stars, a Holiday Jazz Band; Dickens Fair Carolers of the Great Dickens Fair; the acapella group The Dartmouth Dodecaphonics; and the Tap Dancing Christmas Trees. The full night’s line up is all led by Boxcar Theatre‘s Artistic Director Nick A. Olivero. The night of entertainment also includes Christmas VIPs the Grinch and the man-of-the-hour: Santa!
The SFPD Northern Station with Another Planet Entertainment will lead a toy giveaway for the first 400 children under 12, and distribute free candy canes. There will also be holiday-themed DIY activities with SF Etsy in the Maker Village sponsored by Redwood Credit Union. Festive bites will be available for purchase from Off the Grid food trucks, along with a full bar offering seasonal favorites like Irish coffee and mulled wine. And don’t forget to stop at Bi-Rite for cookies and hot chocolate!
The event will begin promptly at 4 p.m. The lighting of Civic Center Plaza’s 50-foot noble fir by Mayor London Breed will take place at 5:30 p.m. Also, don’t miss ice skating at the adjacent Winter Park Ice Rink!
