Juneteenth Events: Parade and Kick Off Celebration

This year’s Juneteenth Celebration starts with the inaugural San Francisco Juneteenth parade, which will “gather 5000+ attendees to enjoy a vibrant day of rich, culture, music, dance and community,” according to the Juneteenth event site. This free, community parade starts at the Embarcadero waterfront, travels up market and ends at Civic Center. Also at the waterfront, attendees can shop black-owned businesses and join in family fun events!

Parade info: June 10, 11am-1pm; waterfront activities at the Ferry Building, 10am-2pm. 

The Official Kick Off Celebration with Mayor London Breed at City Hall, focuses on “The Evolution of Our Music.”
