Ever wanted to learn chess or sharpen the skills you already have? How about mahjong? Check out the new chess and mahjong event series with SF Parks Alliance taking place at UN Plaza every Sunday 11am-2pm through July 21.
Featuring drop-in games and free lessons from the Mechanics’ Institute, Mahjong Project and Mahjong Movement; the weekly event also features chess-puzzles and other games such as dominos.
Free, drop-in. Please note no chess Easter Sunday (March 31) or PRIDE Weekend (June 30.)
Also be sure to check out the Heart of the City Farmers’ Market across the street at Fulton Plaza, Sundays 7am-4pm (and Wednesdays, 7am-4pm).
