Night of Ideas 2026: Lighting the Way

April 11, 3pm-midnight

The annual Night of Ideas is back at the Main Branch of the San Francisco Public Library, where keynote speakers and performers will focus on the theme of “Lighting the Way,” which “invites our Bay Area audiences to explore how ideas, creativity, and collective action can illuminate paths forward, helping reveal new ways of thinking and connecting about what’s next, as we look ahead to the next 250 years after the American Declaration of Independence,” according to the Night of Ideas site.

Taking place at the Main Branch of the San Francisco Public Library, there will be family programming (Afternoon of Ideas) from 3-6pm, with the whole night of festivities running until midnight. Free, but registration encouraged; RSVP on the KQED site.
