It’s Pride Month! And events are taking place across Civic Center and the City. At the Asian Art Museum you’ll find a mix of events:
Pride Kickoff Party with DJ Chico Chi, June 7, 2pm, free: “An all-ages, Free First Sunday dance party at the museum to kick off the 56th Annual San Francisco Pride Celebration and Parade. Celebrate LGBTQ+ joy and community in one of San Francisco’s most beautiful and historic settings, surrounded by fabulous Asian and Asian American art! Energizing musical selections provided by DJ Chico Chi, who recently packed the dance floor at our sold-out Baby Rave events.”
Nymphia Wind Undressed, June 11, 6pm: “Join Nymphia Wind for an intimate artist talk and an exclusive viewing of three of her most iconic gowns. This special presentation offers a closer look at the fashion, artistry, and inspiration behind her most unforgettable looks.”
Party at Asian Art Museum, June 28, noon: “An exclusive Sunday afternoon that holds two things at once: the full energy and revelry of Resistance in Action, surrounding something quieter and more intimate.”
