Daily, through September 5
Featuring a juried exhibition of more than 40 artist books focused on the environment, this show featured beautiful works on with the focus on reclamation within the climate change context. From the San Francisco Public Library, “Our relationship to landscape and the environment is immensely complicated, intercut with memory and romanticism, as well as economics, politics and power. Language does not help matters. This exhibition’s title of reclamation, for example, refers to the process of claiming something back or of reasserting a right.”
On view through September 5, “Reclamation: Artists’ Books on the Environment” is on view in the Main Branch of the San Francisco Public Library’s recently reopened Jewett Gallery; free. See the sister show at the San Francisco Center for the Book.
