
Winter 2026-Spring 2027
The 2026-2027 SF Ballet season begins with the beloved family holiday favorite Nutcracker (Dec 4-27), before the 94th Season Opening Night Gala in January.
Highlights include Helgi Tomasson’s The Sleeping Beauty (Jan 29-Feb 7) a 19th century classic; Titans of Choreography (Feb 16-21), which features diversity of three major contemporary European choreographers; George Balanchine’s Jewels (Feb 27-Mar 7), returning to the War Memorial Opera House in full for the first time since 2009; Balanchine’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Mar 19-27), with a journey through William Shakespeare’s enchanted forest; Divine Creatures (Apr 8-14), paying homage to Sergei Diaghilev’s revolutionary Ballets Russes with music by Andy Akiho; and the return of Sir Kenneth MacMillan’s Manon (Apr 23-May 2), considered one of the choreographer’s best.
