Fall 2026-Spring 2027
The upcoming 2026-2027season at the SF Symphony features a calendar full of debuts, stars, guest artists and much more.
The season starts with the gala on September 24th featuring violinist Hilary Hahn alongside conductor Giancarlo Guerrero, followed by the Symphony’s annual All San Francisco Concert.
Premieres include a “work by Emerging Black Composers Project winner Kyle Rivera, conducted by Juraj Valčuha, and a new concerto for harp and percussion by Rene Orth, conducted by Esa-Pekka Salonen and featuring Principal Percussion Jacob Nissly and Principal Harp Katherine Siochi.”
Special concerts include “Jazz singer Samara Joy, folk musician Gregory Alan Isakov, and singer -songwriter Fantastic Negrito [as] each join the San Francisco Symphony for one-night -only performances [and] composer and conductor Joe Hisaishi [as he] leads the San Francisco Symphony in a program featuring his own music, including a new SF Symphony-commissioned Concerto for Orchestra.” As well as, “San Francisco Symphony celebrates Conductor Laureate Herbert Blomstedt’s 100th year with a January program featuring Schubert’s Symphony No. 3 and Bruckner’s Symphony No. 4, Romantic.”
This is all in addition to their holiday performances, special community events, and Film with Orchestra series: Avatar, Hook, La La Land, Metropolis, Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas, The Ring, Star Wars: Return of the Jedi, and Up.
