Noting it’s their “Biggest season yet!” The San Francisco Conservatory of Music 2025-2026 performance calendar includes, ” First-of-their-kind performances, exciting repertoire, thrilling opera and musical theatre productions, and hundreds of student concerts… where more than 95% of performances are free and open to the public!”
Some highlights include:
* Five concerts led by the Conservatory’s Music Director and conductor Edwin Outwater, opening with Prélude à l’après-midi d’une faune by Claude Debussy.
*October’s spooky The Turn of the Screw, by Benjamin Britten, performed by the Opera and Musical Theatre program. Spring performances include Jules Massenet’s Cendrillon, a re-telling of the fairytale Cinderella; and George Frideric Handel’s Alcina, about a dangerous enchantress who bewitches every man that lands on her island.
*In spring, SFCM Orchestra will perform in Stewart Copeland’s Police Deranged for Orchestra at SFJAZZ Center under the direction of Edwin Outwater.
And don’t miss the return of Chamber Music Tuesday, an ongoing weekly performance featuring a robust rotation of guest artists in concert with students, teachers and alumni; as well as the Faculty Artist Series.
