The UN Skate Plaza, located in UN Plaza, opened in 2023 and was designed by skaters. Much of the inspiration behind the ramps, platforms, and edges at the UN Skate Plaza draws from popular US and international skate spots. It was expanded in 2025 to include additional elements, and is made for all skating levels, from novice to pro. SF Rec & Park also hosts free seasonal skateboarding lessons at the plaza.
