The newly opened UN Plaza Dog Run has generated tremendous community enthusiasm, seeing thousands of visitors every month. A popular community gathering place, it is well used all day, every day by local residents, students and employees. Lend your support to our furry friends by helping to keep this a safe and inclusive space for all with ongoing maintenance and overnight security support. Sponsorship opportunities include donor recognition on signage and seating.
Roller skating is coming to the Fulton Street Mall late this summer, perfect timing for outdoor recreation during the warmer months. Outdoor roller skating offers fun for the whole family, with music-themed events and skate rentals available. Sponsorship opportunities will support special event programming and ongoing security and maintenance of the rink.
Civic Center Plaza Tree Lighting:
Help bring holiday joy to the young and young-at-heart by supporting the annual Civic Center Plaza Tree Lighting event. Held every December, festivities include holiday performances, food, music, and Makers Village DIY activities for kids and adults.
Join us in enlivening the District with festive holiday pop up concerts throughout the month of December on Civic Center sidewalks. An annual tradition since 2013, this year we look forward to featuring a diverse array of musical talent from local arts and cultural organizations.
Civic Center Soundtrack:
Daily music playing will lift the spirits of all those passing through UN Plaza, reminding all we are in San Francisco’s premier arts and culture district. This continuous free activation will set a lively tone for the return of new programming at local venues and in the Plaza. The installation of quality sound equipment will also be used to support ongoing special events throughout the year.
Clean Team and Ambassadors:
CCCBD’s supplemental maintenance support for Civic Center shows pride and stewardship of the District. Furthermore, addressing issues like litter, graffiti and general upkeep in a timely manner keeps acts of vandalism at bay creating an accessible, equitable and comfortable environment for everyone.
Community Ambassadors assist the public in navigating the District with a welcoming and informed presence; they are easily identified by their orange uniforms. They assist in connecting those in need of medical attention or social service support with the proper agency. They also work near arts venues to enhance the pedestrian experience before and after evening performances and an Ambassador is also stationed at the street-level entrance to the Civic Center Garage.
